Pope Leo XIV, born Robert Prevost in Chicago, celebrates his first mass at the St. Peter's Square in Vatican City. This important event is the official start of its papacy as 267th Pope of the Roman Catholic Church.

The election of Leo XIV was the first Pope born in the United States as a historical moment for the church. During the fair, he receives the ceremonial ring of the fisherman and the Petrine pallium, symbols of his authority and responsibility as a spiritual leader of over 1.4 billion Catholics worldwide.
