Video game fans from all generations gather for the retrogamecon

Saturday- Central New York Gamer came together and spent a day in the Pixel paradise.

Retro games, board games and cosplay! At this year's spring edition of Retrogamecon, you have the choice and everything is done for a great thing.

“I love the community and bring everyone together. It's so much fun,” said Long Time Gamer Kim Wicks.

Kim Wicks says she played video games since she could hold a controller.

Wicks drove two hours from Albany to take part in her first retrogamecon and create the feeling of nostalgia and combine it with previous experiences.

“My parents waited in line to get the original Nintendo when it came out, so it was only forever in my life,” said Wicks.

And Wicks had the chance to play Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars, which is her favorite game ever.

“It was an amazing game that I recommend both the original and the remake,” said Wicks.

Nathan Grant is one of the event coordinators for Retrogamecon and he says that the coolest part of the event is that players come together from all generations and share their love for playing.

“The parents bring their children with them, show them what they played and actually get the chance to play these games,” said Grant.

Kim Wicks said to Cny Central: “What is really cool is now that they see new generations. They see people who grew up with the original Nintendo entertainment system, and now their children play it too.”

According to Grant, all charity organizations have an impact and donate directly to the Golisano Children's Hospital through the charity organization for additional lifespan.

Retrogamecon's autumn exposure takes place in October and is a three -day event
