1 killed, 1 injured at Mother's Day in Ckleburne County

A shootout on Mother's Day killed a man and wounded another, a press release on Friday evening from the sheriff state states of Cleburne County's sheriff.

Around 5:24 p.m. on May 11th, the MPs responded to a report on a shootout on Pine Snag Road and found two men with gunshot wounds, the release said. A man, John Moore, 28, from Heber Springs, died of his wounds in a regional hospital.

The other man was treated and released from a hospital, it says in the release. It didn't identify him.

The authorities had no one of the murder on Friday evening, it says in the publication, and the investigation continues.
