2 killed in accidents on streets

According to the preliminary reports of the Arkansas State Police, two people were killed on the streets of Arkansas on Friday and Saturday.

A male driver was killed on Friday at 7:03 a.m. after the Mack truck from 2005 left the street southeast of Malvern on Arkansas 9 and hit a round. He got into the air before he grazed trees and landed upright where he caught fire, according to a report. The report did not identify the driver.

A pedestrian was killed on Saturday at 10:02 a.m.

The pedestrian, who was not identified in the report, crossed three lanes near the exit of the Chester Street and tried to cross the middle wall when he turned into one of the lanes and was hit by a Nissan Sentra in west, the report says. No other injuries were reported.

Soldiers who examined both accidents reported that the weather was clear and the road was dry at that time.
