Based on the data provided by the Air Force, this was Russia's biggest drone attack on the Ukraine of the war. On the eve of the third anniversary of the Ukrainian invasion of Russia on February 23, Moscow started a record of 267 drones at the time.

The first direct talks between Russia and Ukraine on Friday have not been able to convey the temporary ceasefire Kyiv and its allies. The 100 minutes of the talks in Istanbul led to an agreement to swap 1,000 prisoners of war on each side.

US President Donald Trump said he would speak to Russian President Vladimir Putin and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy on Monday.

Kyiv and the region around them and the eastern part of Ukraine were attacked for nine hours overnight before they were derived around 9 a.m. The air defense units were engaged several times to ward off attacks, the military said in the telegram.

“It was a hard night. The Russians always used war and attacks to intimidate everyone in negotiations,” said Andriy Kovenko, head of the Ukraine Center for Disinformation, about the telegram on Sunday.

Air defense units destroyed 88 of the drones overnight. The attack also included 128 Simulator drones that were lost on the way without meeting anything, the Air Force Ukraine said in an explanation of the telegram.

On Saturday, a Russian drone attack killed nine civilians after having driven a shuttle bus in the Sumy region in the northeast of Ukraine, said Kyiv. Zelenskyy called the attack “deliberately” and asked Moscow to attack stronger sanctions, which indicates, a military facility.

All people injured in the Obukhiv district south of Kyiv City were hospitalized, said Kalashnik. Several residential buildings were damaged in the area, he added.
