Donald Trump breaks silence about the death of Virginia Giuffre

President Donald Trump spoke about the death of Jeffrey Epstein accuser Virginia Giuffre.

Giuffre died in Western Australia on Friday through suicide.

The 41-year-old was a pronounced prosecutor of Epstein and his former friend Ghislaine Maxwell, both convicted sex offenders.

Trump spoke to reporters at an airport in New Jersey and said that Giffre's death was “a very sad situation”.

“This whole situation is very sad – she and others,” he said.

“Sure, that's a terrible thing.”

Giuffre was born in the USA, but has lived in Australia for years.

She became an advocate of survivors of sex trade after developing as a central figure in Epstein's downfall.

She reported publicly after the first examination ended in a 18-month prison sentence in Florida for the financier, who completed a secret deal and was released in 2009.

In subsequent civil lawsuits, Giuffre said that she was a spa attendant as a teenager in Mar-A-Lago-Trump's Palm Beach Club- when she was addressed by Maxwell in 2000.

It was discontinued as a masseuse for Epstein and flew around the world for meetings with men in Epstein's behest while she was 17 and 18 years old.

Giuffre also sued Prince Andrew, the Duke of York because she had sexually attacked her at the age of 17.

The duke denied the allegations and said that he had never met Giuffre. He paid millions to pay the suit with her.

Giuffre's family said in a statement that she was a “violent warrior in the fight against sexual abuse”, but the “tribute of abuse … became unbearable”.

“She lost her life through suicide after becoming a lifelong victim of sexual abuse and sex trade,” they said.

“It was the light that raised so many survivors. Despite all the adversities with which she was confronted in her life, she shone so brightly. It will be missed beyond the standards.”

She is survived by her three children, who described the statement as “light of her life”.

On Monday, a spokeswoman for the police in Western Australia confirmed that Giuffre's death of detective was still being examined, but did not seem to be suspicious.

Perth Coroner's Office said that Giuffre's death had been reported to the forensic doctor who would examine the circumstances.

She had recently separated from her husband Robert and was supposed to stand in court because of allegations that she had violated a prescription on the family's violence.

In March she also made headlines after being taken to the hospital after a car accident. She claimed that she was in kidney failure and only had to live for days.
