Guardians offer a key starting jug about injury update

The Cleveland Guardians cannot afford to lose a further start for a long time. Unfortunately, this is the reality that the team is exposed to Ben Lively.

LiveLy left his start last week and was put on the injured list a day later with a forearm injury.

Stephen Vogt delivered a fairly worrying update to Livey before the game on Saturday. The guard manager said that Lively was a second opinion on his injured forearm by Dr. Get Keith Meister, a well -known orthopedic surgeon.

“It is the same as what we knew a few days ago – that he has the flexor burden,” said Vogt (Tim Stebbins from MLB.com).

“But we just want to make sure that we check every field and adhere to another opinion about what's going on and make sure that we all cover our tracks to ensure that we do the best for Ben and his career in the future.”

Cleveland's skipper was also asked if an operation for LIVELY could be on the table. Vogt replied: “We just don't know. We have to see masters and see what he thinks about reading.”

A second opinion is not necessarily bad, but this update from Vogt is for one of the best start jugs from Cleveland.

Although Slade Cecconi looked phenomenal in the rotation in Lively in Lively, the right -handed man was probably the best starting jug from Cleveland this season and does the rotation better.

LIVELY had a 3.22 ERA, 1.19 whip and 124 Era+before he went to the injured list.

At the moment the only thing to do is to wait. Hopefully the second opinion is what the guards are looking for, and Lively will soon come back on the hill.
