The former Gunner believes that he could have helped Arsenal to achieve more

The former striker of the Arsenal Academy, Mika Biereth, had a big decision last summer to make an impressive loan magic at Sturm Graz.

The center forward was still contractual on Arsenal, but Sturm wanted to bring him in a permanent deal. Biereth had the choice of either trying to make it again in Mikel Arteta's starting line -up or to move to a club in which he knew he would get games.

Biereth opted for the latter and made a constant move to Austria, but only a few months later it was bought by Monaco.

It was another strong campaign for the 22-year-old. After 14 goals and supported five with Sturm Graz in the first half of 2024/25, he scored 13 with Monaco in the second half.

Perhaps this raises the question of whether he already had the ability to penetrate Arsenal's first team, especially in view of all injuries that Areta had in Center strikers.

When asked whether he could have helped Arsenal in her trophy hunting this season, Biereth suggested that this is not a crazy idea.

“Yes, I think I don't just think that – maybe a few other people think that,” said Biereth. “I think football works.”

“When I was there, I didn't really have the feeling that there was a chance for me,” added Biereth. “I didn't want to wait and hope for a little luck. I prefer to go out and prove myself and I think I have done it to a certain extent so far.

“Football is a strange sport, you can always think, what if I haven't done it or what if I haven't done it? '

“As I think about things, is that I can't think about what if I had stayed?” I am very happy here at Monaco and play really well and we have just secured the Champions League football for the next season. “
