“A hard weekend. A massive exertion of the mechanics to prepare my car for yesterday, and I am glad that I could give something back to the team and thank them for the work, even if it was only one point. It is small, but at least it's something for the team.

“I'm still frustrated from yesterday, but I shaked it off and I gave everything in the top 10 today after I started in the pit lane. We took a step this weekend and the qualifications setup was a big change, but we didn't change much setup from yesterday and it was good to have more time to learn and experience the car in the race.

“Today I tried to hold back the McLaren even longer, but they had more under control.

The head of the Red Bull team, Christian Horner, also commented on Tsunoda's races and his teammates Max Verstappen:

“What a victory for Max in Imola! The perfect way to celebrate our 400th race and win our fourth victory in a row. It was an impressive all -round performance.

“Max gave a sensational step into curve one to take the lead, followed by a strong work in the team's pit lane at the team to achieve a clinical victory.

“It was also a strong journey for Yuki who got out of the pit lane after qualifying overnight after the team did a great job to rebuild his car overnight.
