Jets' Morrissey injury “not good,” says coach Scott Arniel

The Winnipeg jets not only lost game 6 against the Dallas Stars and ended their season, but also lost the key defender Josh Morrissey To a potentially significant injury according to a TSN report.

Morrissey was injured in the second period of the 6th game after getting involved with the stars Mikko Rantannen. His knee seemed uncomfortable and after trying to get to the bench, Morrissey was helped into the changing room and did not return. After the game, head coach Scott Arniel said that the injury was “not good”, but that the team would learn more when returning to Canada. Arniel noticed that Morrissey's injury was a number of obstacles with which the team had to face the stars.

“Again it was a big blow to lose Josh tonight. Only many circumstances that happened. Our leadership in our group always switched together and pressed everyone. It is growth. It hurts very much. But we lost to a great team.” Said Arniel.

Morrissey enjoyed a fantastic regular season and recorded his third campaign in a row with over 60 points. As a rule, Morrissey has been a model of durability in the last four seasons – played with at least 78 games in the last four seasons, in the playoffs, where he suffered two separate injuries that forced him to miss the time. He was also injured in game 7 of the first round against the St. Louis Blues after he was hit by Oskar SundquistWhat prompted him to miss game 1 against the stars.

It remains unclear whether the injury that Morrissey has suffered against the stars is related to its previous illness, and the full extent still has to be revealed. If the injury turns out to be serious, he will have the entire low season to recover with the goal of being ready for the start of the 2025–26 campaign.
