Arrest in connection with the man who was shot in the car near Belmont

Nashville, Tenn. (WSMV) – In connection with a shot that took place at the beginning of this week, an arrest was made.

The Metro Nashville police authority announced the arrest of Jordan A. Smith, 24, in connection with Dana Corley's fatal shootout.

The 26 -year -old Corley was found dead in his car at the intersection of 16th Avenue South and the Wedgewood Avenue on Wednesday at 4:30 a.m. MNPD said Corley was shot several times.

Smith was a friend of Corley, and the two had seen each other on the Circle K market on Belmont Boulevard shortly before the shootout, the police said.

Smith was arrested on Sunday afternoon and charged with criminal murder.
