Davis: The opposition of the security training shows hypocrisy among weapon control groups

For years, weapons grabbing politicians in New Hampshire have shaped the need for “weapon security”. Now that they are faced with a legislative template, the basic age -appropriate security of weapons in schools implemented, they have the course in reverse and start an attack on laws that help to keep the students in granite state safely.

Last week Rep. Terry Roy (R-Deerfield) introduced a change from SB 54, a legislative proposal for public security, which would carry out training for toddlers and basic safety training for older students. If this legislation is passed, the Ministry of Security would develop an educational plan with gold standard models such as the Eddie Eagle Gunsafe® program and the NRA Hunter Education. Both programs are made available free of charge for people who want to participate.

These NRA models have been selected because they are already used by schools across the country. So far, five other countries Eddie Eagle has already been using young children what to do if they ever come across a firearm: “Stop! Don't touch. Run away. Say an adult.” This program was recognized by law enforcement, educational and health groups for its effectiveness in preventing accidents with firearms. So far, over 33 million children have completed this training.

With increasing age, new firearm training courses would be offered that taught them fundamental security of firearms and hunters. This in turn would increase public security, reduce avoidable accidents and promote new Hampshires proud hunting. In addition, one could argue that it could arouse an interest in one of the thousands of jobs in connection with firearms in New Hampshire, which offers the state economic advantages of billions of dollars.

Despite all these advantages for granite statues, progressive politicians, led by Michael Bloomberg's special interest groups, are exclusively on the fact that the NRA supports them. This is correct, the same groups who claim to support “weapon security” refuse to provide the weapons security. This should not be a surprise, since these organizations that do not teach or promote training have never been interested in actual security. You were only interested in weapons control.

This type of hypocrisy is not only unique in New Hampshire. All over the country, so -called “weapons security” groups support exclusively radical weapons control measures, including the comprehensive bans on general firearms, the creation of weapons -free ones that prescribe how individuals store firearms, and the implementation of arbitrary waiting times, to name just a few. All of these extremes and unconstitutional guidelines disarm the laws that are faithful to law, reduce public security and ensure that criminals have the upper hand.

Fortunately, the legislators of New Hampshire for graniteists have rejected these demands for weapons control in Massachusetts style and continued to make the guidelines for the Pro Gun Directive the safest state the safest state. By handing over SB 54, the state can take the next step to promote gun ownership in the state by teaching the next generation how they can safely exercise and appreciate their rights of the second change.
