Mann charged with hate crimes after he had bothered Jewish students in Miami

A man was charged with a hate crime after he was allegedly harassing the students at a Jewish school in North Miami Beach, local media reported on Friday.

The 24-year-old Jose Alfredo Garrido was caught on surveillance material that took something out of the ground and threw it on the school field, on which some students played around 11:30 a.m.

Then he went and returned minutes later and wore black gloves and wore an apparently whip.

The arrest report states that the film material “has hit the defendant, who wears black latex gloves, with a whip in his hands”.

The police said Garrido allegedly turned to two victims and made an explanation that the two could not understand before they tried to pick up the Kippah from one of the victims.

Both victims went away and reported on the incident to a school protection guard.

Garridos arrest

The security guard was able to get a close -up photo of Garrido after he had supposedly returned to school with a whip and a wooden stick. Garrido was later arrested in his house.

The police said they found a small blue bag with a seemingly cocaine in their pockets when they carried out a first search at the time of the arrest.

Garrido is charged with harassment and intimidation based on a religious or ethnic heritage and the possession of cocaine.

According to CBS News, its bond is 10,500 US dollars.
