The conference final of the Stanley Cup Playoffs begins on May 20, when the NHL post -season marches closer to the allocation of Hockey's Top Prize.

After a 6-1 win against the Toronto Maple Leaf on May 18, the Florida Panthers beat their ticket for the conference final, which had joined the Carolina Hurricanes, Edmonton Oilers and Dallas Stars in the Final Four's Hockey's Final Four.

In the east, the Panthers will compete against Carolina Hurricanes – the Hurricanes defeated the Washington Capitals in five games and returned to the conference final for the first time in two years.

In the west, the Dallas Stars will compete against the Edmonton Oilers, a remaining last year of last year. The Oilers defeated the stars in six games last season. The striker Mikko Rantannen, who was traded by the Colorado Avalanche to the hurricanes before landing with the stars, leads all Playoff skaters with 19 points.
