57-year-old man killed

A 57-year-old man is dead and a 34-year-old woman is in a stable state after the police have been announced to have been shot in Fordham on Sunday evening.

It happened shortly before 7 p.m. in the East 188th Street near the webster Avenue.

The police said the man was shot in the head and the woman was shot into the leg.

Both victims were taken to the hospital.

Darleky Mena, an employee in a restaurant nearby, told news 12, she heard six or seven shots and closed the door. She said the male victim was a customer who had just ordered food an hour before his dinner.

“When we went out and saw that it was the guy, we were surprised,” she said. “People came to the restaurant, so we closed the door.”

The police had not published the victims' names from Sunday evening.

Officials said no arrests were made, but sources have shared cell phone video with news 12, which seems to show several teenagers in handcuffs.
