Sorell is headmaster at Digital Forensics Sciences Australia, a company that offers advisory work on digital evidence.

He worked on telecommunications in Australia and the court hears internationally.

Sorell is currently a lecturer for telecommunications and digital forensic science at the University of Adelaide.

Sorell is often asked to provide evidence of mobile network data in criminal matters, as the court hears.

In this case, he says that his work focuses on the location of mobile phones in terms of mobile phone networks.

The prosecutor called its next witness Dr. Matthew Sourell.

Stafford is about McKenzie in question on the Inasaturalist website

McKenzie agrees that she is not a mycologist, but has developed an interest in mushrooms for deaths.

Stafford leads McKenzie through contributions that she had made on inauralists.

One is referred to as the “Stubble Rosegill” mushroom and shows that the place of observation is Port Melbourne. The post contains three photos.

The second was in Loch in April 2023. With the questioning of Lenthall, McKenzie said that she was in Loch on April 18 to visit her daughter:

We were walking … my husband and I took our grandchild and our dog for a walk and we were on the Oval Sportsplatz in Loch, surrounded by oak trees. I watched some Amanita Phalloides [death cap mushrooms] around the roots or under the oaks on the west side of the oval.

At first she said she discovered the death caps under a single oak and then noticed more under the surrounding oak trees.

McKenzie said she took photos of the mushrooms and then removed all death caps and put them in a plastic bag.

Because of my training in the poison center, I am very conscious about the toxicity of the Amanita Phalloides.

She says that death caps are also poisonous for dogs and she knew that the area was a popular dog spot. She tells the court: “I was very interested in removing all the samples that I could find from you.”

McKenzie says it was a “risk” that could “appear” more.

McKenzie says in her role that she has taken calls to the public and experts with regard to taking a number of poisonous substances, including mushrooms.

She tells the court when it comes to her role when someone calls the auxiliary line:

We have to determine the circumstances, for example it could be a toddler who nibbles a small brown mushroom and nothing.

She says if someone has symptoms, it becomes more urgent to identify the mushrooms.

McKenzie says she is “fascinated by the world of mushrooms” and read additional reading on this topic.

In her work, she says that it is important to be able to quickly identify the most poisonous fungi.

McKenzie is a retired pharmacist, the court hears.

In the last 17 years of her career, she has worked as a senior gift information specialist in the Victorian Gifts information center.

McKenzie worked in the center from 2006, the court hears.

The jurors entered the court room in Morwell.

While we are waiting until today's procedure begins, we remember what the jury heard on Friday:

A scientific expert, Dr. David Lovelocktold the test attempts in two of seven test tubes that contained the samples of a dehydrator that Patterson had emptied in the days after Patterson's mushrooms.

Lovelock, who worked as a virologist at Agriculture Victoria in August 2023, said the results of the positive test tube had a similarity of 99% with the DNA of the fatalities.

He said that only DNA of button mushrooms were found in pressure lock bags that contained the beef -wellington remains.

The court previously heard that a policeman had fished out of beef two days after lunch with her permission from a trash can in Patterson's estate in Leongatha from a trash can in Leongatha.

Patterson's process enters his fourth week.

Welcome to day 14 of Erin Patterson'S triple murder process.

We expect today's evidence to start after 10.30 a.m. as soon as the jurors are entered in the courtroom.

The 50 -year -old Patterson will be three charges for murder and an indictment for attempted murder in relation to a beef -Wellington lunch, which she served on July 29, 2023 in her house in Leongatha in the Victoria region.

She is accused of murdering her parents -in -law, Don And Gail Pattersonand the aunt of the alienated husband, Heather Wilkinson. The attempted murder accusation refers to Heather's husband. Ian.

She has not guilty of the indictment.

The public prosecutor claims that Patterson has deliberately poisoned her lunch guests with “murderous intentions”, but her lawyers say that the poisoning is a tragic accident.
