Motorcyclists dead after 2-vehicle crash on us 40

Greenfield, Ind. (Wish)-a motorcyclist was killed in an accident with two vehicles on US 40 in Hancock County on Sunday evening.

On Sunday at 5.13 p.m., the Hancock County MPs reacted to the County Road 400 West and the US 40 for an accident with a motorcycle and SUV. This is between Greenfield and Cumberland. The MPs came and demanded the Hancock County Fatal Accident Crash Team because of the severity of the crash.

The crash included a 2004 Harley Davidson motorcycle and a 2025 Chevrolet Equinox SUV.

The driver of Harley Davidson was declared dead at the crime scene. The driver was identified as Eric Edwards (53) from Greenfield. A female passenger on the motorcycle, which was identified as Donna Gross (52) from Greenfield, was transferred to the methodist hospital by the ambulance in a critical condition. Gross is expected to survive.

Neither Edwards nor big wore a helmet.

The driver of the Equinox, which was identified as Cheyenne Higsby (18) from Greenfield, was not injured. Higsby has undergone to toxicological tests due to the severity of the crash.

The investigators believe that the Equinox traveled south on the County Road 400 west and then to the left on the US 40 was included in the path of Harley Davidson, directed in the west. The Equinox had a stop sign. The Harley Davidson didn't. Harley Davidson had no time to avoid a collision and close the Equinox, which caused Edwards and large from the motorcycle.

This investigation continues. The road was temporarily closed, while officials from the Hancock County Fatal Accident Crash team examined.

An accident with three cars and a semi -truck occurred earlier on the same day in Hancock County.
