Le Moyne College marks the 75th entry that highlights the effects of graduates on Central New York

When rain flowed over Central New York, Le Moyne College organized its 75th opening ceremony inside and marked an important milestone for its graduates. For students like Samara Roya Chowdhury, the event was the highlight of years of commitment and hard work.

“We worked all the time at that moment,” said Chowdhury, an starting spokesman. “It is a bitter -sweet moment because we won't see many of our friends anymore, but we all made it together to the finish line.”

The President of Le Moyne College, Linda Lemura, emphasized the most important role of College graduates in the community. “If you would imagine Le Moyne Central New York, you would not have had enough doctors and dentists and lawyers and accountants, lawyers and teachers, people who work on committees and take care of community and the social structure of our community,” she said.

Lemura noticed that many students outside the region decided to stay in central -New York after experiencing the warmth of the community. “If we get students outside of this area, they prefer to stay in this community without exception because they fall in love with them when they come to Le Moyne College,” she said.

Chowdhury, originally from Bangladesh, moved to Central New York in 2020 during the Covid 19 pandemic and has since accepted it as its new home. After deserving her conclusion, she plans to return the community by working in St. Joseph's Hospital.

“For me, this community was nothing less than a family,” said Chowdhury. “I have the feeling that everyone I met with so much love and so many nice words. To give something back, it feels like an honor.”

While Le Moyne College celebrates its 75th beginning, the institution congratulates all its graduates on their achievements.
