Eurovision 2025 – The national jury members of Ukraine, which caused a scandal

During the live broadcast, the singer Jerry Heil, who announced the results of the Ukrainian jury this year, appeared on the screen in a lively outfit and traditionally awarded 12 points to one of the countries.

While the top 12 points went to Germany, many were outraged that the Ukrainian jury scored surprisingly high points with 5 points to the representative of Estonia, Tommy Cash.

This moment also revealed the official constellation of the Ukraine national jury.

The jury was selected by public coordination in the DIIA app and contained:

  • Melóvin – Singer who represented Ukraine at Eurovision 2018

  • Dmytro shurov (pianoboy) – Composer and musician

  • Olena Shoptenko – Renowned choreographer and television program Star

  • Tayanna -Singer songwriter and finalist of the national selection of Ukraine in 2017 and 2018

  • Natella Chkhartishvili-Zatsarynna – Music producer for TV channels M1 and M2

These five people were responsible for half of the votes of Ukraine – in accordance with the rules, the final result 50/50 is divided between public votes and the national jury.

Just a few minutes after the Ukrainian results were announced, Melóvin divided a photo of his ballot online.

“Today, as a member of this year's National Eurovision jury, I submitted my votes for all participating countries. I decided not to hide my ranking – in the spirit of transparency. The coordination regulation is: 1 is the highest, followed by descending values,” wrote Melóvin.

Melovin gave the German duo Abor & Tynna its top points -12 points. But it was his second -placed choice that triggered immediate counter -reaction: Estonian artist Tommy Cash.

Reactions were sharp online:

  • “What singing Estonia deserves 5 points? There were none at all.”

  • “Sure, it's your opinion, but you have represented Ukraine. A conscious Ukrainian audience definitely didn't see Estonia in her top picks. Pro-Russian scum applauded somewhere in the swamps.”

  • “In which bubble do you live to vote for Estonia and Israel as a Ukrainian jury?”

  • “How do you sleep at night when you know that you gave a man with Russia points while only killed civilians with a drone strike?”

  • “Everyone knew that the Estonian act was pro -Russian garbage – and they still classified them as second? That is ridiculous.”

In particular, the stage director of Tommy Cash was Alina Pyazok, who has a Russian passport and has worked with him for a long time – filmed his videos and monitored the visual concept of his Eurovision performance.

In addition, the artist has repeatedly worked with Russians, and his projects often contain indications of the Soviet past – something that many find at least strange in Ukraine in view of the current reality.

Before the semi -finals and the final, many Ukrainians asked Estonia not to support, and accused the artist of the gentle propaganda for peace and used rhetoric, who repeatedly repeats the Russian stories.

Added to this is the background of Tommy Cash: his mother has Ukrainian roots, his grandmother comes from Russia and he has spoken both Estonian and Russian since childhood.
