The historical season ends in the regional final – Stanford Cardinal

Eugene, ore. – Stanford's historic season 2025 ended this evening in the Eugene regional finals and released a few games in hosting No. 16 Oregon. The 42-13 campaign was the first season of the cardinal in the ACC and a season with home games at the Stanford Stadium, while a new state-of-the-art softball stadium is being built.

In the first game, Oregon hit the top and pressed a few runs into the top of the first to get 2-0. But Stanford replied in the ground of the frame. The cardinal scored a few unexpected runs when Taryn Kern and River Mahler each came home at wild playgrounds to tie the game.

The Ducks added five more to proceed in the second tip, which made it a 7-2 game.

Allie Clements replied for the cardinal, hit a two-out home into the left center and lowered the deficit to 7-3. The long ball was her eighth of the season and second in so many games.

After Zoe Prystajko kept the ducks goalless in the third and fourth, Clements drove in another run with an RBI single at the lower end of the fourth. Kern followed him with a victim fly and brought the score to 7: 5.

Oregon hit five runs in the fifth inning and three in the sixth in the sixth to a 15: 5 final in the first game of the day.

Stanford wasted no time in the second starting of the game Yoie Economides, in the first inn, a Grand Slam crushed for an early 4-0 lead.

After Oregon reacted with three runs in the lower end of the second reaction, the economies stepped back into the box with runners. This time the newcomer crushed a Homer with three runs to make it a 7: 3 game.

The two losses end the historical season of the cardinal with a 42-13 record. The 2025 Stanford Squad Set program records for Runs (448) and Home Runs-Hit (101) as well as the NCA-Softball egg game visitor record with 13,207 fans in the Stanford Stadium for the game against California on April 19.
