Future of Orcas 'in the event of a risk of death' after being kept in the abandoned French theme park – animals

Officials in France talked about the future of the Orcas, which were left “for dead” in an abandoned theme park.

Marineland of Antibes closed his doors in January because after 55 years she increased a declining number of visitors and the increased animal captivity in the country and left a few orcas – Wilkie and her son Keijo.

There have long been controversy about orcas – also known as a killer whales – in housings such as parks such as Seaworld, especially after the coaches who were injured or killed during the demonstrations and interactions with the orcas.

It took Dawn Branchchau's death in 2010 for the American theme park chain to finally change their rules in relation to the captivity of Orcas, which are recognized as the largest member of the Oceanic Delphin family.

Despite their potentially deadly nature, people still have the responsibility for the care of the killer whales, which are held in captivity. Therefore, after the closure of a Marine Animal Park in France, it was outraged at the beginning of this year.

The two orcas are said to live in a solemn enclosure covered by lime. Only the skeletal staff returns to feed them as soon as it tragically has been located for over five months.

12 bottlenecks are still stuck in the park.

Unfortunately, officials seem to be unable to be closer to the fate of the animals and recently suggested that it could take a year before they are relocated at the earliest. The French government has already blocked two potential rehoming deals, in which they moved to a sea zoo in Japan or in a walerician in Canada.

It is suggested that the trip would be too strenuous for the animals, but with a move to a sanctuary in Spain, the options are also quick.

A spokesman for the French Ministry of Ecology has announced The Mail Online: “In terms of the Orcas and Dolphins, an assessment of the Spanish scientific authority caused the transfer of the orcas and dolphins to Loro Parque (Tenerife) and the transfer of ten dolphins to the Madrid aquarium.

“The authority came to the conclusion that the facilities did not meet the requirements in terms of surface, volume and depth in order to accommodate the samples under optimal conditions.

“This unfavorable opinion means that the approval cannot be granted to transfer these animals to Spain. Until the transfer, the minister for ecological transition, biological diversity, forestry, sea and fishing, asks the Reunidos of Marineland, the owner of Marineland, to ensure that the animals continue to be cultivated for a future solution.

“At the same time, discussions were held with the Italian, Greek and Spanish ministers to find a satisfactory solution that ensures the well -being of the animals. Although no solution has been found, the discussions with the Italian minister have shown that the Taranto Sanctuary project has the support of the authorities and could be ready within one year.”
