NBA Insider reports on Nico Harrison's job security at Mavericks

The fans of Dallas Mavericks demanded that General Manager Nico Harrison have been released since he exchanged Luka Doncic against Los Angeles Lakers against Anthony Davis, Max Christie and only a future first round. It is as breathtaking as a deal that we have ever seen in NBA history, as Doncic Dallas never wanted to leave and is one of the biggest players in the league.

Despite all this pressure of the fan base, no major changes have been made to the front office. Harrison made some changes to the training staff and released the sports director of Sport, Keith Belton, and head coach Dionne Calhoun, head coach.

The NBA insider Marc Stein from Dlls Network reported on Harrison's job security because Patrick Dumont apparently made some visits.

“Patrick Dumont, who is based in Las Vegas, has visited several times since the end of the season of the Mavericks with a defeat on April 18 in Memphis in the game of the NBA, according to the sources of the league,” said Stein. “These visits have only fueled the conviction that DuMont holds Nico Harrison, General Manager of Unterfeuer as the main decision participant in the current structure of the Mavericks.”

There were some rumors that the Mavericks may try to add an experienced staff member to the front office to help Harrison, just as she had done with Dennis Lindsey before he went to the Detroit Piston, but these rumors have not yet been built up.

Harrison had a saving grace when the Mavericks in this year's NBA draft went into the first choice and won the opportunity to choose Cooper Flag. This could help an injured fan base healing, even if they would still prefer to see him fire.
