During the by -election of the last year, Shirley Grossi and her husband Giancarlo Grossi were divided for whom they were supposed to vote – the liberals who had ruled riding for over 30 years or the conservatives.

The conservative conservative Don Stewart won the by -election. Now the couple wants to stay in parliament and hope that the Tories will form the next government.

For Giancarlo, his support depends on the concerns of how the liberals dealt with immigration.

“I just want to change,” he says.

“We say we are better, but our services have decreased. If you allow many people in the country, you have to be ready.”

His wife Shirley says she is concerned about the crime.

“I have this neighborhood app and everyone complains. They catch someone in and the next day they are outside,” she says. “If you do not carry out harder measures, you will only commit crimes.”

Crime, immigration, economy – these are standard questions in every choice. But many Canadians say this choice that there is a big problem that she all trumped – US President Donald Trump and his threats and tariffs against Canada.

According to Giancarlo, the Canadians should concentrate on what happens at home, not south of the border.

“I think it will be (tensions with us),” he says.

And even if not: “Regardless of who is in power, if Donald Trump does not want to listen to her, he won't. There is no logic.”
