The Seattle Mariners manager provides good news for Jorge Polanco about the injury front

The Seattle Mariners defeated the San Diego Padres 6-1 on Sunday afternoon in Petco Park and ended a three-game swey powder of their National League rivals.

The victory moved the Mariners to 26-19 and keeps them in first place in the American League West. The loss set the Padres to 27-18.

Seattle received solid offensive contributions throughout the line-up when Randy Arozarena met a Homerun, Rowdy Tellez went a double and Mitch Garver with an RBI 2-to-4. Leody Taveras, Miles Mastrobuoni, Cal Raleigh and Julio Rodriguez also broke into RBIs.

A guy who didn't contribute to this? Jorge Polanco, who exit the series finale. It has become normal this season that Polanco is sitting against left-handed jugs while dealing with an oblique loss of problem, but it was terrifying not to see him against the right-hander Michael King on Sunday.

According to Adam Jude from Seattle Times, however, it was only a regular day of rest for the mighty slugger.

The designated Hitter Jorge Polanco was not in the line -up for the final of the series finale against the Padres on Sunday. Wilson said it was simply a regular day for Polanco, which had mastered a mild slope stress at the beginning of this season.

Although he has cooled considerably from his hot start, Polanco still puts together a solid bouncback season. It beats with 10 homers, 29 RBIs and an ops .313.

The Mariners will play again against the Chicago White Sox on Monday afternoon. The first pitch is set for 4:40 p.m. PT.
