Lady Gabriella praises Kate Middleton in the first interview since the husband's death

Lady Gabriella Windsor sang Kate Middleton's praise in her first big interview after the death of her husband Thomas Kingston last year.

Lady Gabriella, 44, opened up how it was to work with the Princess of Wales in the fourth edition of her Together for Christmas Carol Service in a new interview with Hello! The magazine published on May 18 was her first big interview since her husband Thomas died by suicide in February 2024 at the age of 45 after he had supposedly stopped taking prescription antidepressants.

“It was such an honor to get involved and very thoughtfully and kind -hearted from the princess to involve myself. I was very touched,” said Lady Gabrella about working with Princess Kate in December 2024.

“It was so nice to work, always amiable, very creative and so much vision and passion for the many charity organizations and causes that supports them,” she added.

Gabriella is a cousin of King Charles through her father's family Prince Michael and a passionate musician who played an advisory role for the musical appearances for Kates Together for Christmas Carol Service in December in Westminster Abbey. A source told people that Lady Gabriella enjoyed her role and excited to be part of the service and that the princess of Wales “was incredibly grateful for her contribution”.

In support for the support, Gabriella joined the event with the parents of Princess Kat, Carole and Michael Middleton.

Although Gabriella had a practical role in the show, with some school bands from her latest patronage recovery of the music UK, which occurred during the concert, she revealed that some details were even a surprise for her!

“There were surprises for everyone, even the people involved. It was a very special idea from her to involve ballet dancers in the concert – I didn't know that there would be children and dancers who were all bright and beautifully dressed when they danced through the abbey,” said Gabriella. The mention was apparently on the ballet performance that Kate brought into the program as a homage for her daughter Princess Charlotte – a “secret”, she said that Prince Louis caught the wind and “burst” to tell his sister!

“It was a wonderful meeting of creative people and it was very moving. I loved it and I was really touched to be asked,” added Gabriella about working with Kate. “It was very kind of her.”

Lady Gabriella works as a freelance journalist and previously banged her love for music by publishing songs to go to the non -profit games for change foundation. In April, the Music UK announced that Gabriella had been appointed the latest patron and took on a formal role in the charity organization, which worked on some of the most under -the -suffering state schools to improve music training.

Last week, the royal family member took part in the restoration of the music gala in the Nobu Hotel in London and she said it was a pleasure to take part in the glittering dinner.

“It was as uplifting to hear how the students play. One of the school bands started the evening with a proud Mary, which was fantastic. There was so much energy,” she said.

Elsewhere in the interview, Gabriella said that she “wrote many texts” with the hope of “taking up more songs” and listening to music anywhere, unless she works.

“I just find it too distracting,” she said. “But in general I find music very powerful. She can immediately change her mood and outlook and sometimes exceed everything else.”

Like her second cousin Prince William, Lady Gabriella is not a full-time royal, but briefly withdrew from the public after the death of her husband last year.

In February 2024, Buckingham Palace announced that Thomas died in the Cotswolds house at the age of 45. A spokesman for the forensic doctor's office later told the people that his cause of death was “traumatic wound on the head” and that a weapon was found near his body.

Katy Skerrett, Senior Coroner from Gloucestershire, later combined his death with the medication he had taken. Since then, his parents and his widow Gabriella have spoken to raise awareness of the possible side effects of antidepressants.

In January, Skerrett said in a prevention of future deaths that further measures should be taken over the risk of patients who have prescribed the selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors (SSRIS) that his parents approved.
