The office of the Clackama County's sheriff examines the circumstances of the death of a 12-year-old boy who died of a gunshot wound. According to a statement by the Sheriff office on May 19, the MPs answered reports that on Tuesday morning, May 13th, a child in a backyard in the Southeast Glen Echo Avenue near Gladstone shot in a back yard.

“When the MPs arrived, they found a 12-year-old boy with a life-threatening gunshot wound in the backyard of the house,” said the sheriff's office. “The boy who was still breathing was quickly brought to a local trauma hospital, where he died of his injuries later on Saturday, May 17th.”

While the office of the Multnomah County's medical examiner determines the manner and the death of the boy, the office of the Clackama County's sheriff will continue to examine the circumstances that have led to the incident.
