NTSB publishes a preliminary report on May 3rd aircraft crash in Kentwood Area

Kentwood, La. (WAFB) – The NTSB has published a preliminary report on a small plane crash in the Kentwood area.

The crash occurred on Saturday, May 3, in an area north of Kentwood near B. Sanders Road. The pilot and a passenger were injured.

The NTSB report states that the pilot completed an engine before the start and had no problems. After the aircraft had been cleared in the area of ​​the tree, the pilot turned left and the plane made an “unusual and abrupt field”.

After the pilot tried to reduce the playing field, a stable Warnhorn sounded, and the plane went down into some trees, according to the report. It added that the passenger exposed her seat belt and removed herself and the pilot from the plane.

The plane was badly damaged during the crash.

Officials said they kept the plane for further examination.
