In the meantime, the Boca Raton Community High School offered consulting services on campus to help students and employees control the loss.

Dr. Suzanne King, the headmistress of the school, addressed the parents in an emotional e -mail on Monday and wrote:

“With deep sadness, I share the news that one of our students died unexpectedly at the weekend. Out of respect for the privacy of the family and for reasons of confidentiality, we do not publish the name of the student at that time.

On behalf of our school community, I will contact the student's family to express our condolences and offer support.

As a parents and supervisor, you can find that your child processes this loss differently. For some, this can be the first time that you have experienced the death of a colleague or someone in your community. I encourage us all to approach conversations with care, compassion and respect.

Support for grief, including school advisors and school psychologists, will today be available on campus for our students and employees to ensure that you have the emotional support you may need to help you in this difficult time. If you believe that your child would benefit from talking to someone, please encourage it.

For immediate emotional support, employees and students can also choose 2-1-1, a confidential crisis helpline that offers free instructions and resources. Please monitor your child on signs of need and do not hesitate to turn if you believe that it needs additional support.

At the Boca Raton High School we are a community that supports each other. Together we will navigate this difficult time. “

Gudiño's mother thanked for the overwhelming support of the community according to the tragedy.
