La County Deputy killed during the crash of multi-vehicles in Santa Clarita

A member of La County was killed in a collision with several vehicles in Santa Clarita, confirmed the California Highway Patrol.

What we know:

The crash occurred on Monday at 3:17 p.m. on the San Francisquito Canyon south of Dry Gulch.

A member of the correctional facility in North County drove home after completing a double layer when he was involved in an accident with three cars.

The deputy was flown to a nearby hospital in which he was declared dead. Three others were also taken to the hospital with non -life -threatening injuries.
