The deputy of the non-servant sheriff in the event of an accident near Santa Clarita-Nbc Los Angeles

A department of the Sheriff of Los Angeles County was killed and some others were injured on Monday in a crash with several vehicles north of Santa Clarita.

According to Lasd, five people were brought to the Henry Mayo Newhall Hospital as a result of the crash. A person called the deputy of the sheriff died of their injuries.

The department did not publish the name of the deputy, but said he was 21 years old. He joined the force in May 2024.

According to Lasd, the crash was reported shortly after 3 p.m. in the San Fransquito Canyon Road south of Dry Gulch. The seriousness of the injuries by those who were hospitalized was not immediately clear.

“We are broken by the tragic loss of one of our own with broken heart, which was removed too early,” said Sheriff Robert Luna in an explanation. “Our deputy devoted his life to the service and the security of others both within and outside of the uniform.

Details about what led to the crash were not unveiled.

The case remains examined.
