Operation Neon summer 2025 fights violent crimes

Craighead County, Ark. (Kait) -The Operation Neon Summer 2025 led by US -Marschall, which participate in northeast -Arkansas -criminals in gangs, illegal firearm ownership, narcotics and sexual criminal offenses.

The four -day enforcement initiative focused on violent criminals in the counties of Craighead and critters from May 13 to May 16.

According to the press release, the three-part mission aimed to combat the violence of gangs, reduce weapons and narcotics crimes and to comply with the state and federal law at high risk.

The joint operation was led by the US marshals of Easternarkansa's fugitive task force and worked with the police from Jonesboro, the Arkansas State Police, the Craighead County Sheriff's Office, the office of the district of critting County, the West Memphis Police Department, the Marion Police Department, the 2nd Justicial Drug Taks Forces, Homely Security Investigations and the Pafford Emse team team together.

“Operation Neon Summer is about acting directly against the people who do the greatest damage in our communities,” said Erik Johnson, deputy US Marshal. “The fugitive task force in Easternarkansas is proud to lead this operation together with our local and state partners in order to restore security and stability.”

During the entire operation:

  • 28 arrests were made
  • 32 arrest commands were cleared
  • 4 firearms were confiscated
  • 965.5 grams of marijuana were confiscated
  • 109.7 grams of methamphetamine were won
  • 3.3 grams of fentanyl were confiscated
  • 31 ecstasy pills were collected

“This is more than just arrests – it is a coordinated effort to suppress crime and to take violent criminals off the street and heal and grow the communities,” said Cory Harris, who was US Marshal for the eastern district of Arkansas.
