Fort Worth, Texas (AP)-Connor Zilisch, the 18-year-old driver already with two races of the Nascar XFinity series, will miss the race on Saturday in Texas because injuries in a last round wreck in Talladega have been injured.

Trackhouse Racing said on Wednesday that his development driver will return to No. 88 JR Motorsports Chevrolet as soon as possible. The team did not provide any additional details about Zilisch's injuries.

The regular Kyle Larson of the Cup series will drive No. 88 in Texas. After that, the XFinity series has a two-week break before it races again in Charlotte on May 24th.

Zilisch, in the first 11 races in points, in the first 11 races, drove for victory at Talladega Superspeedway when the contact with the back and his car turned into the inner wall.

Zilisch won on September 14th at his Xfinity debut at Watkins Glen. This year he added another victory in Austin, on the same weekend when he made his debut for the Cup series. He has six top 10 placements in his 15 XFinity races.
