The MPs of Thurston County use the pit to stop the criminal on the i-5

The deputies of the sheriff (Thurston County Sheriff's Office) used a pit maneuver to curb a driver in a non -licensed SUV Sunday evening.

The sheriff of Thurston County, Derek Sanders, wrote about the persecution on Facebook and said that a deputy tried to stop the SUV after the driver ran a stop sign on a busy street. The driver started and the deputy chased.

“The driver fled north to Pierce County on the I-5, where they enlarged a white work car before picking up a random bumper on the shoulder,” wrote Sanders. “Our Lakewood Police partners contributed. The driver tried to flee the busy streets of South Tacoma when the MP performed a box maneuver and pushed the suspect off the street.”

MP from Thurston County arrested the driver

The sheriff said that the driver came out of the SUV and initially worked together, then lowered her hands into her covenant and came back into the vehicle. The driver was then detained with a gun held up.

TCSO discovered that the driver was a convicted criminal and had an active Doc (department for corrections) and a suspended license.

“The driver was instructed to the TCSO prison.” The suspect also had numerous arrest warrants from jurisdiction along the I-5 corridor and ended their crime dispute. “
