Jaromir Jágr, 52, scores the first goal in the 37th and probably in the last professional season

Jaromír Jágr scored the first goal of his 37th professional season during the 4-2 victory by HC Rytíři Kladno against HC Sparta Praha in the Czech Extraliga.

The 52-year-old Jágr has scored his first goal since April's playoff relegation series. His backhand test was rejected, but the future Hall of Fam scored the rebound for the third goal of the game for Rytíři Kladno.

After Jágr has started an assist at the start of the season, he is currently one point per player.

In his eighth season, Jágr is with Rytíři Kladno, the team he owns and works after he was avoided by the Calgary Flames in the 2017-18 NHL season. The No. 5 election in the NHL design of 1990 by the Pittsburgh Penguins has been hindered by injuries since his return and played only 18 games last season.

The downtime last season offered Jágr the opportunity to have another moment with Penguins fans in Pittsburgh. During his recovery, he returned to Steel City to take part in the former teammate Mario Lemieux's adult -fantasy camp, and let his No. 68 retire from the franchise.

The end is close to Jágr

This week, Jágr Rob Rossi from The Athletic confirmed that he wants to retire after this season.

After the end of the love between Jágr and the city of Pittsburgh last season, the team president of Business Operations Kevin Acklin, who was significantly involved in the organization of the retirement of Jágrs No. 68, hopes that Jágr will be part of the organization in a certain capacity.

“This is clearly a guy who has a love for this franchise and this city that has to be cultivated,” Acklin told The Athletic. “I don't know what it looks like. We talked about the future.”
