Brad Stevens offers update to Jaylen Brown's knee injury

The Boston Celtics will monitor a number of injured players in this off -season and they can add Jaylen Brown to the list. The Boston Swingman played through a partially torn meniscus During the team's post -season, which could require surgery this summer.

Celtics President of Basketball's Ops. Brad Stevens addressed a number of topics on Monday In his press conference at the end of the season, Brown praised to play through the disease.

“Jaylen wants to play,” said Stevens. “Jaylen is a warrior, Jaylen is very proud to be out there.”

Brown has had to do with the injury since March. He missed a play on the end of the season, but he fit in all 11 after season games against the Orlando Magic and New York Knicks. He lacked his usual explosiveness, but still managed to shoot 22.1 points to 44 percent in order to achieve 7.1 rebounds and 3.9 assists per game. Brown had lost his best game of the post-season, shortly after Jayson was lost by a bruch-negum when he dropped 26 points and 12 assists in a blowout victory against the Knicks in game 5 in the TD Garden, which forced a game 6 in New York.

The Celtics lost game 6 to drop the series and now go to a unknown one into a low season. The unknown includes Brown and whether he has to be operated on this summer or not.

Will Jaylen Brown need an operation outside of the season?

Brown will be re -evaluated in the coming days to determine whether it has to be operated on. Stevens sounded a little hopeful, Brown would be able to avoid going under the knife, but said that Brown and his warehouse's decision would be made.

“He obviously saw our team documents and a few other people, and as he said a few weeks ago, the knee is structurally in a good place,” said Stevens. “And so I think he felt comfortable to get out of there and go afterwards. And hopefully he will feel better after he was removed from it for a few weeks.

“The unfortunate part is that we are finished in mid -May, but some of these boys who have some nicks, bruises and other things that will be good to rest,” added Stevens.

Brown has already undergone several scans on his knees, and Stevens said that the NBA final of the last year has shown its true mentality through the injury.

“We have known this for a long time and he has known it for a long time. But it only tells you that it will take care of these boys. They take care of winning, they take care of playing, they take care of it.” said Stevens. “Certainly we are grateful how much and how hard he played, but he definitely experienced some discomfort there in March. But in the past few weeks everyone has seen it, I thought it was better and better and I think he actually felt better or at least he told me that he felt better at the end of the Knicks series.”

Since Tatum will probably miss the entire 2025-26 season, the Celtics hope for some good news about Brown and his knee injury.
