10 children, 2 adults injured after the school bus accident in Silver Spring – NBC4 Washington

After an accident with a school bus in Silver Spring, Maryland, twelve people, mainly children, were brought to hospitals on Tuesday morning.

Ten children and two adults were injured after a school bus near the New Hampshire Avenue and Norwood Road, the spokesman for the fire and rescue department of Montgomery County, David Pazos said.

None of their injuries are considered life -threatening, said Pazos.

A photo from the scene shows a white vehicle with a crumpled hood on a sidewalk near a yellow school bus with a sign with the reading “Montgomery County School”.

More than 20 children were on board the bus, and the public schools of Montgomery County contact parents, said Pazos.

The authorities did not immediately say what led to the crash.

Some lanes near the crash are blocked.
