Violation of Zoey Stark Forces WWE to change plans: report

Unfortunately, Zoey Stark was injured on May 19, 2025 during a money in the bank qualification game on WWE RAW, which seemed to cause a clear change in the game's original plans.

The triple threat qualifying match contained strong, Rhea Ripley and the returning Kairi Sane. All three women fought hard for the chance to be the women in the bank -Ladder -Match, which is planned for June 7, 2025, where the winner will receive a future title shot.

During the WWE -Raw competition on May 19, heavily landed on her leg after trying a springboard drop kick. WWE officers took them out of the game because they were injured and could not go on.

Dave Meltzer later discussed what could have been the original plans for the game before Stark's injury and how the violation of strongly influenced the result of the game.

Meltzer spoke in the wrestling of the radio and said that Sanes return match should not end by being tackled. He explained: “So sensibly (was put into her first game), which was obviously not the plan.”

Meltzer added: “They had no choice, they had to do what they had to do.” Bryan Alvarez, also from Wrestling Observer Radio, continued that the first plan for Zoey was the one who was captured in the game to protect Sane when they return.

Instead, Ripley was the one who won the important game due to the injury. She stuck Sane to get her place in the women's money in the Bank Ladder Match.

After the show, Ripley went to X to talk about Stark's injury. She shared WWE fans a message about how dangerous the professional wrestling can be for the actors.

Ripley wrote: “Professional wrestling can be very real and dangerous … Tonight proves that everything can happen.” She also sent her best wishes to her colleague and said: “I wish @zoeystarwwewe a quick recovery! 🖤”

This is not the first serious injury to strongly in the WWE during your time. Before that, she had a big knee injury in which she tore her ACL and meniscus on an NXT Halloween -Havoc event in 2021.

At that time Stark confirmed how bad the knee injury was. She had said she torn her ACL, MCL and PCL.
