Rodri back in the MAN City squad for the first time since the ACL injury

Manchester, England – midfielder Rodri is for the first time since the operation on his ACL in September in the Manchester City squad.

The Ballon D'Or winner was initially expected to miss the rest of the season, but was on Tuesday for the City's Premier League game against Bournemouth on the bench of replacement.

His return to fitness means that he will probably be available for the Club World Championship, the next month in the USA will begin.

Rodri's last game was against Arsenal when he was injured on September 22nd at 2-2.

ACL injuries can take six months to one year to heal. Rodri also suffered the meniscus damage, but has been back in training for weeks.

The City season dissolved shortly after the exclusion of Rodri -the team effectively gave up the league title before the annual application and ended the season for the first time since 2017 without trophy after losing the FA Cup final against Crystal Palace on Saturday.

However, there is still the possibility to lift silver goods in the low season, as a city participates in the newly issued World Cup.

Rodri played only three games for City this season before his injury.

He was awarded the Ballon d'Or for the best male football player in the world in October – and collected the trophy on crutches.
