Anti-crime Push in Oswego Township delivers over 200 tickets, 80 arrests

Oswego, IL – Several local law enforcement agencies have teamed up to increase crime in the Oswego Township region.

The Kendall County's office has teamed up with the police authorities Oswego and Montgomery and Illinois State Police to aim for patrols in the areas of Oswego Township and Boulder Hill to prevent and react in crime, while the summer is approaching. Officials said that the public prosecutor's office of the Kendall district also supported the initiative.

The efforts to suppress crime were developed after the sub -tenant Bobby Richardson and the CEO Matt Kellogg, the chairman of the County Board, had dealt with “the increasing criminal activity that was already observed this year, and the seasonal increase in incidents that are often associated with warmer weather.

In the past four weeks, since the initiative was active, the efforts of the officials at 310 traffic stops, 81 arrests or creeps, 210 quotations, two recovered stolen vehicles, which have regained an illegally obsessed firearm, have led a driving arrest and several drug ceases, said the office of the sheriff.

Richardson said his top priority was the security and well -being of the community, a feeling that the Kendall County Board shared.

“In a conversation with the Chairman Kellogg, we discussed the best ways to tackle the trends in question that we saw and often approach it as a summer,” he said in an explanation. “With the support of the community's stakeholders and the local law enforcement management, we were able to make this initiative reality. This is a great example of the law enforcement authorities of Kendall County, who work together on a common goal.

Kellogg repeated Richardson in his explanation: “Public security has a top priority for our board, and this initiative shows what is possible when law enforcement agencies and local government come together for the benefit of the community. I recommend Underheriff Richardson and all of our partnerships to keep our neighborhoods safely in the summer months.”
