Matt Wallner begins with the rehab task and other injury updates from Minnesota Twins – Twins

The Minnesota twins are ready to get a significant thrust for their line -up soon, since the outfield Matt Wallner runs closer to the return of a left thigh tribe. On the Pitching page it was expected that Minnesotas Bullpen was one of the best in the league. After a few snafus in the early season, the relief core has rounded off in shape, but some injury issues have had an impact on the group.

By Matt Wallner
Injury: left leg partial pollution

Wallner landed retrospectively on the 10-day injured list until April 15, since a tense left armpit was suffered against the meters, and has been parked at Target Field since the mid-April competition. Since then, Wallner has gradually enlarged his activities, led the bases and undertook the impact practice. The team hoped that clean training on Tuesday would be done that he would start a rehab order in Triple-A St. Paul on Wednesday. Obviously, the rainy weather in the twin cities will influence when it can start to play.

Manager Rocco Baldelli described the progress “encouraging” and found that Wallner is as far as the staff had hoped in this phase in his recovery. Before the injury, the left-handed Slugger Minnesotas Top-Hitter, who published a line of .263/.373/.474 in the first 18 games of the season.

“I would rather have them win than games when I'm not out there, in contrast to the other way,” said Wallner. “As if it were a bit early. Make a little more excited to get out of there, but ten times from 10, you would rather have the team made on such a series instead of fighting it as if we were at the beginning.”

Assuming that there are no setbacks, Wallner would later join the Saints this week, where he needed a handful of games to regain timing before the twins feel comfortable to activate it.
Expected return: at the end of May

LHP Danny Coulombe
Injury: left subsequent venue

Coulombe was placed on the 15-day injured list of the forearm-text pain on May 18, which resulted from the ongoing muscle thinning in his forearm, which bothered him for a large part of the year. The twins consider Coulombe's state to be relatively low and believe that calm and recovery enable him to return quickly instead of a long -term problem.

“It was something that I had to do with the whole year,” said Coulombe. “If you are 35 years old, you won't feel good all the time. But it is only something that has gotten a little worse. … I feel pretty optimistic, it will be a short absence.”

In 19 goalless appearances before he met the IL, Coulombe established himself as one of Minnesota's most reliable Bullpen options, whereby he was only a undeserved run and 19 years old while walking two. In the probability of winning (WPA), Coulombe only follows Jhoan Duran under Zwilling -Relievers, which underlines its value this season.
Expected return: in early June

RHP Michael Tonkin
Injury: right shoulder pollution

Tonkin has not yet made his debut in 2025 for the Parent Club after starting the season on the IL with a right shoulder pollution. He was released in mid-April to start the rehab rehabuses with a minor league. During his sixth performance by Reha, Tonkin developed a biceps tendinitis that treated the team's medical team with an anti-inflammatory injection. His throwing program was as a result. Baldelli confirmed that Tonkin was temporarily closed to fix the new pain and has to rebuild the arm strength before taking up a rehab task. In view of the time of this setback, Tonkin does not return to the game campaign after completing a 30-day rehab window until he has completed another ramp-up cycle.
Expected return: in early July

With Wallner's rehab order, which emerged, the twins were soon able to regain one of their strongest bats. He can offer a timely elevator for a crime that is missing several large bats, including Byron Buxton and Carlos Correa. In the meantime, the Bullpen depth remains in the flow, while Coulombe and Tonkin control their respective injuries. The fans will observe closely in the next week whether Wallner's return another twins that wins the route and how the Bullpen pieces can be done healthy again.
