Egg Harbor Township Community remember victims of teen car crash as a talented athlete

Egg Harbor Twp., NJ (WPVI) – A community in South Jersey mourns the loss of a young, promising teenager who was hit and killed by a car at the weekend.

Hundreds faced the loss of 13-year-old Mu'zahir Moore, who was hit by a car and killed at the weekend.

“He was only 13 years old. He had a lot to live,” said Moore's uncle Leonard Robinson.

The police say it happened on Saturday afternoon when Moore and a friend from Bargaintown Park would go out in Egg Harbor Township.

Detectives say that a car has worked to avoid another vehicle and met the two young people who went in the grass.

Moore died in the hospital. The other young person was treated on site for minor injuries.

Moore's funeral was on Tuesday.

“As you can see, it is unfortunate that we lose too many good children so early,” said Robinson when the amount of friends and family hugged each other.

Mu'zahir – many called him only Mu – was a phenomenon in the field and on the basketball court.

Action News spoke to one of his mentors from Pleasantville Jokers' football, Jason Smart-El Jr.

“He was probably one of the best football players I've ever seen,” said Smart-El.

While Mu had great efforts for sports in the high school and the university and the college, the relatives also say that he was a child in which they wanted to be nearby.

“You have never put it down. You have never seen him crazy. He always has a smile on his face. He is always ready to do everything. He was just an all-round-big child. I know that a lot of people talk about his sportiness,” said Smart-El. “But his character was just as good. He was an excellent child.”

The circumstances of the crash are still examined by the EGG Harbor Township police.

As soon as this investigation is completed, civil servants will say that lectures are issued.
