A Reddit contribution triggers against Taylor Swift against Taylor Swift after your record eras tour.

The original post contains a video assembly that follows the flight paths of the two jets from Swift. It shows an amazing number of short, frequent flights in the USA

The Redditor labeled it: “Taylor Swifts two private jets in 2023. That is more than 100 million plastic straws (mathematics at the end).”

The video is well received when more people question the environmental costs for prominent luxury. While the safety of these people is very important, this does not mean that the effects of private jet trips, one of the most environmentally harmful transport forms, are unnoticed.

According to PBS, pollution rose by 46%between 2019 and 2023. The European Federation for Transport and Environment has found that private jets give five to 14 times more pollution per passenger than commercial flights.

Swift has made it known that she is aware of the CO2 footprint, which leaves her trips on our planet, and works to actively compensate for it by twice as high.

However, there is a debate about how effective and legitimate these credits are, especially if they are sold by companies with a personal share such as gas giant shell.

While the public is often said that they should reduce plastic and recycle more, the emissions of only one celebrity jet can outweigh sustainable decisions for a lifetime.

A commentator suspended this double standard by saying: “This is absolutely ridiculous, I will never guilty to throw away a plastic fork again until there is a kind of regulation against this ridiculous environmental destruction.”

Swift is not the only celebrity that is examined. With the further growth of the private jet, the demand for accountability is also growing under public figures, the actions of which contradict the public climate obligations.

“Offer private jets with less than 30 passengers under 200 miles,” suggested one user.

“This is great, now they make all billionaires,” wrote another commentator.
