Layton impairment in combination with high speed is suspected in an accident with a vehicle, in which many were left in Layton on Monday evening.

Lt. Michael Donnelly from the Layton's police department informed the standard sub-searcher late Monday evening that the crash, in which a vehicle took out three electricity pylons, was reported on Monday at 6 p.m. at the intersection of the Gentile Street and the Fairfield Road.

“What witnesses told us at the scene was that on the Gentile Street through the intersection of Fairfield at a high speed, when he lost control, he got through the crossroads of Fairfield.”

Donnelly said the driver was brought to a local hospital with non -life -threatening injuries and that no other spectators or drivers were injured.

He added that the accident would continue to be examined.

“We know that the speed was at least one factor for the crash,” he said. “Our traffic unit was called and you are currently continuing. At the moment we suspect that impairment may also have been involved.”

The standard subsequenter turned to the Layton Police Department on Tuesday to get further updates on Tuesday, but no answer was received before the press time.

According to spectators, the car, the brand and model of which were unknown, shortly after the intersection to the west when three consecutive Poles met near an McDonald's before he finally came to rest at the top of the Bristol Bay Apartments.

Spectators also reported that the driver got out of the car and seemed to laugh.

As a result of the crash, the power supply was lost in the area to the early morning hours of Tuesday. According to the Rocky Mountain Power website, all power supply was restored in Layton at 10 a.m.
