Trump reveals plans for the “Golden Dome” rocket defense system

President Donald Trump presented plans for his “Golden Dome” rocket defense sign on Tuesday and predicted that the ambitious plan to expand the country's air defense system would be completed until the end of his term.

US officials said the golden dome was necessary to protect against “catastrophic attacks”, but experts say that it is exposed to logistical and financial hurdles.

The project has a priority for Mr. Trump since taking office. During the campaign, he promised to build a defense system against foreign attacks that are similar to Israel's Iron Dome with air defense skills that intercept the rockets and rockets.

The United States are more than 400 times larger than Israel.

Mr. Trump said that the project will cost 175 billion US dollars, although the Congress budget office said that it would probably cost far more to do up to 542 billion US dollars. The President said on Tuesday that the Golden Dome would receive 25 billion US dollars from its draft law on domestic policy that does not yet have to exist, and that Canada has expressed interest in participating in the program and could take part in some of its costs.

Mr. Trump said that he was confident that the United States will complete the project in about three years and “be able to be fully functional before the end of my term”. He called it “as close as possible in relation to real production”.

“As soon as the golden dome is completely constructed, it can intercept the rockets, even if they are started from other sides of the world, and even if they are started from space and we have ever built the best system,” said Trump.
