Judge presses Trump administration about the reported deportations in the South Sudan

A federal judge in Boston pressed the Trump administration on Tuesday to the answers whether the government deported migrants to the South Sudan without proper procedure.

The strict comments by judge Brian E. Murphy came to a hastily called hearing before the Federal District Court in Boston, where the immigration lawyers said that at least two migrants had been announced that they would be deported to violence in Africa.

After a break in the procedure for collecting information, a lawyer of the Ministry of Justice, Elianis N. Perez said that one of the Burmese, Burmese, was brought back to Myanmar, not to South Sudan. But she declined to say where the second migrant, a Vietnamese man, was deported and said it was classified information.

“Where is the plane?” Asked judge Murphy.

“I was told that this information is classified and I am told that the final goal is also classified,” said Ms. Perez. She said that the government had not violated court orders because the man had not said to be afraid of distance.

Judge Murphy asked the authority with which government classified the place of the deportation flight. “I don't have the answer,” she replied.

The judge warned that civil servants who were involved in the deportations that were aware of his arrangement, including potentially potentially the aircraft's pilots, could be exposed to criminal sanctions. “Based on what was told me,” he said, “that seems to be contempt.”
