Mets in Red Sox in a row fall in third place in the shutout defeat (highlights)

The New York Mets (29-20) fell their third game in a row on Tuesday evening and fell into the Boston Red Sox (25-25) in Fenway Park 2-0 and marked their first three-game crack of the season.

Clay Holmes gave New York a solid start and worked early traffic to keep the game nearby. He went two in the first, but escaped with two back runs and was then saved in the second by Brandon Dow's laser throw from flat to the left to cut a run on the plate. Holmes got involved and only allowed two solo Homeruns, each of Carlos Narváez and Rafael Devers in six works. He ended with five strikes, three walks and four goals.

The crime could not offer any support. The Mets only scored four goals and were excluded for the third time this season. They went 0: 7 with runners in the goal position and continued a frustrating trend of missed opportunities. Juan Soto was a lonely bright spot that reached twice with a single and a walk, even though Francisco Lindor's prisoner had killed a potential rally in front of Soto in front of Soto.

The METs had a short opportunity after Boston Starter Walker Buehler was ejected in the third inning, but could not take advantage of the Red Sox Bullpen.

Box score

The Mets try to save the series finale on Wednesday with Tylor Megill, who is opposed to Crochet in Boston Lefty Garrett. The first place is set to 6:45 p.m.
