ACC -Baseball tournament 2025 Tuesday points, updated bracket and schedule

The best teams in the ACC at the start of the ACC tournament 2025 in Durham Bulls Athletic Park in Durham, North Carolina.

The first round on Tuesday brought a four-game slate that set the tone for the rest of the week.

Here is a look at the results on Tuesday and the updated schedule.

California 12, Miami 2 (f/8)

The Cal Golden Bears won their first ACC tournament game in Grand Fashion and defeated Miami about the running rule in eight innings.

The catcher Alex Birge had a huge day and went 4: 4 with two Homeruns with two runs. Cal opened things with a fourth inning of seven runs to bring the game out of reach.

The golden bears will go into the second round to achieve a showdown against Wake Forest, which is eight in this year's tournament.

Virginia Tech 7, Stanford 4

The other western coast team in action on Tuesday was not as successful as Stanford from Virginia Tech was eliminated with a 7: 4 defeat.

The two teams went back and forth before the Hokies drove away with three runs in the sixth inning. A strong defense effort prevented the cardinal from putting more runs on the board.

After the impressive victory, the Hokies will record on Wednesday in the second round Clemson in the fifth seed.

The third game of the day was an offensive explosion when Pitt Louisville 13-11 left.

Louisville pressed five runs in the bottom of eighth place to connect the game to 11, but Luke Cantwell played the role of the hero with the Homer with two runs in the tip of the ninth, which turned out to be a difference.

Lorenzo Carrier and Jayden Melendez also went deep for the winners with earlier driving in five runs in a dominant performance.

That was just enough run support for Pitt to push and record a showdown with Duke.
