Chelsea opponent Djurgard in chaos when the chairman announces the racial mining scandal 48 hours before the conference league collapsed

Chelsea's Conference League Clash with Djurgydens was overshadowed by the resignation of the Chairman of the Swedish Club in a racism scandal.

Lars-Erik Sjoberg is the focus of an investigation by the Swedish newspaper Express, which claims that he has shared xenophobic material on social media.

He has been responsible for more than a decade and is on the eve of the greatest game in the history of his club when they prepare to take over the two -time European champion.

Sjoberg insists that he is not the author of the alleged right views.

He said: “When I spoke out for Djurgården football, I do this in Djurgården's channels or directly with journalists who did me for the role of the representative of Djurgården football.

“I publish very little on social media myself, and when I do it, it is usually a familiar nature.

“However, I pursue many reports on different social media – from different political pages, from various religious views and from different positions in society.

“I share/like some of what I see in my feed, but I almost never write anything of my own.”

DJURGARDEN will compete against Chelsea next Thursday in the first leg of her semi -final in Stamford Bridge.

The Clash on Thursday is Chelsea's first European semi -finals since 2021.

Midfielder Moises Caicedo said: “We know that every game is hard.

“So we will get involved with the mentality that the opposition will be very difficult, but with the desire to win the game.

“We will do everything in this game, everything.

“We know that they will be very difficult, especially on their ground.

“So we have to do things well, play our game, and I'm sure we will be able to bring a win home.”
