Break,

At least four children were killed in an explosion that aimed at a school bus in Khuzdar, Belutschistan, said civil servants.

At least four children were killed in an explosion that aimed at a school bus in the Khuzdar district in the southwestern Belutschistan province of Pakistan, the authorities said.

Yasir Iqbal Dashi, a government official in Khuzdar, confirmed that at least four children were killed and 38 people were wounded.

“The school bus belonged to the army public school when he selected children in the morning when he was attacked by the suicide bomber,” he said to Al Jazera.

Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi condemned the attack near Khuzdar's zero point and expressed “deep grief and grief” about the loss of four children.

“The enemy attacked innocent children with barbarism. The attack on the school bus is a hideous conspiracy of the enemy to create instability in the country,” he said in a statement.

The authorities said that the number of fatalities could increase due to the severity of the explosion.

However, the school in Belutschistan, which is aimed at the children of army staff and civilians, is located in the Pakistani largest province, but in relation to the smallest population.

With around 15 million people in the southwest of the country, important mining projects live, but was disturbed by decades.

In the northern city of Peshawar in 2014, more than 130 children were killed after a group of rebels aimed at a military school.

The attack was later claimed by the prohibited Taliban-armed group Tehrik-E-Taliban Pakistan (TTP).
