See Tuesday 5.20 JSZ Baseball Highlights – Jersey Sports Zone

There was a lot of hardware to win on a busy Tuesday on the diamond around the garden state. JSZ has highlights from the title Games by Monmouth County, Passaic County, Union County, CVC and Cape Atlantic League. Take a look again while the highlights are released all night!

Keith Mann and Anthony Denora combined on a no-hitter and the Highlanders have done all their damage in the first inning to repeat themselves as a master of the Union County. Northern Highlands opened the game with the first eight batteries that reached the base. Mike Basile had a Double Two Run to start the goal, and Denora added an RBI double, followed by two hit battery to Tafel Five runs. The Union's Catholic settled from there and made a number of great pieces in the field. Man stormed into the sixth inning before Denora got the last four batteries to complete the combined no-no one. Governor Livingston is now 22-0 after his fifth UCT victory in the program history.

Ronny Rodriguez has been on the plate in the past four years to lead his bulldog to a third Passaic County title. Rodriguez, a junior outfielder, went on the plate with a Homerun, two doubles and a high season high of six RBI with 3: 4 to achieve Pace Passaic Tech (19: 6) in a growing victory. Rodriguez was appointed the MVP of the Passaic County Coaches Association as a tournament after he came eight RBI in three tournament games. Anthony Iasilello kept a dangerous Catholic line-up by Depaul (15-6) in chess and limited them to only two runs and a single additional hits on the way.

Luke Meyers came to relief and got out of a basement in the sixth inning that had no jam, and ended the seventh with another goalless frame for the save to give the Caseys their first championship in Monmouth County for seven years. The Caseys (17: 5) jumped on a 4-0 lead in the top of the first to emphasize a Jake Frankel Two Run Single, and had twice as many runs (8) as hits (4). Ryan Prior threw four innings and only got a pickoff one field before reaching the limit of 110 and giving the game 7-2. Dan Tsimbinos went 3: 5 for the Colts (18-4), who are now drawing attention to the state playoffs.
